Little bird...big song...

...continued from Monday's post on the Breadcrumb Fairy at Pine Hill Lakes.
Carolina Chickadees are never afraid or timid. They always fly right up and tell you all about it...

Perched on a bun, this fellow was very enthusiastic with his chatter
until he finally nipped off a piece of bread and flew off with it.

...adorable faces, adorable sounds, adorable antics...
Chickadees sprinkle cheer wherever they go!

...his little song melts into my heart every time I hear it.

...in the dead of winter the chickadee's song is just too perfect for words.

Beautiful captures Kelly.
They are so much like our Marsh/Willow Tits over here.

The soft colours are absolutely lovely! It's always the smallest of birds that are the friendliest (and the cutest!)

These are beautiful pictures Kelly... Ours in France, called marsh tits or the others such as blue and great tits are quite shy and it is rather difficult to approach them. What a chance you have to be able to do so nice pictures ;-)

Chickadees and Wrens are my favorites, of little birds that is!
While resting on a hammock, I had one land by my head once.

Heh, heh! Chickadees are greedy little things. If you put some seed in your hand and hold it out they'll fly right up, perch on your fingers, and chow down.

Great shots!

Beautiful! Sometimes one or two of these little guys will be waiting up on the feeder cross-bar while I'm re-filling the feeder right next to them lol. I love them!

They are such sweethearts. Many times when I put food out in the mornings they are the first ones to sound the alarm..."Breakfast is ready." Your pictures are adorable!

Vickie, the bird guru at the garden center I frequented in VA, fed the chickadees from her hand.

Oh how I love these pictures. I recently put up a window feeder so I can paint and watch the birds and the chickadee is the only bird that uses it so far.

These are wonderful shots. I have so much trouble telling if they are Carolina or Black-capped! Mine look like yours, so maybe I've been wrong about which they are. I do wish it was easier to tell!

Oh Kelly, you captured little Chiggy's personality so well in these photos. So sweet. I love it when they come tell me hello while I'm out filling the feeders.
