Our Little Carolina Wren

What’s cute, round, and loves to chatter?

Hmmph! Why, me…of course!

Was there ever any question?

The expression on his face in the last photo is priceless! Great shots - made me laugh!

Yup! Wrens are like Siamese cats - they never shut up.

The expression on the face in the last shot reminds me of Lily Tomlin doing her bratty little girl routine: "And dat's da truthththththththth!"

LOL!! I love the second photo. They are one of the cutest birds out there. And yes, I agree with Roy and his Siamese Cat theory. That's what makes them so cute though. You always know when one is in your yard.

I love the last one, it is a really funny one. If they are like the common wren here congrats, because it is really hard to take them into pictures.. I like the snowy atmosphere too, combined with the color of the bird, it is wonderful!!

Shelley...me too...thanks! I shot him through my living room window, that's why he's a bit hazy...very fun to watch.
Roy...You are so right!!!
Kallen...I love it when I hear that chatter. I always run to the window to look out.
Chris...he was on our deck, and I shot him through the living room window, so he wasn't too hard. He was constantly on the move, though...I lucked in with the shots.
Steve...Thanks!!

Those guys are just cute as a button. I got to see one in Atlanta in January and they are adorable. Although our Bewick's Wren here in Portland,OR are cute too!

Lovely little bird is this wren. I've never seen a wren in my garden, but I am sure they are around. Your photos are perfect! Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful little bird, more colourful than our native Wren.

Those are great pictures of your cute little wren! We have them in Minnesota, but I've never seen one.

Cute pictures and commentary ... we don't have Carolina Wrens here.

I love Carolina Wrens. I think they are one of the more "expressive" birds with all their little calls and twitters... and scolds and squawks. The 2 birds I associate with scolding sounds are the Carolina Wren and the Tufted Titmouse. I'm hoping for another nesting pair this year...!
