...is what Rick said when he came into my office and saw this puffed-up Cattle Egret on my screen...
"Pinckney," I responded casually. "He was great. Very polite...put on a fab show."
I've heard of dogs looking like their owners, but never birds looking like celebs...
...he was dancing with himself here.
...off to the next gig.

Huh! The eyes are similar, too. I'm not a big Billy Idol fan, though.
Great shots!
Oh, la, la! Dancing and strutting his stuff! Fantastic shots. Can't say I know much about Billy's music but upon looking him up on google... I think he researched cattle egrets :)
HAHAHAHAHA!
My mum loves Billy. That made me laugh :D
Two of a kind, they do have the same expression and attitude!

I LOVE NATURE. DON'T YOU? LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL GOD DESIGNS.

Amazing as always! See you soon!
Too cool! I love the first photo and gotta say I like the Pinckney Billy Idol best. The photos of the turtles in the last post are fantastic too. You are quickly becoming a turtle photographer extraordinaire, to go along with bird photographer extraordinaire.
LOVE these guys! Fabulous shots as always, Kelly - especially the one where he's taking off from his perch.
Such a fun post! Love that egret.
I see the resemblence!
Marvelous pictures/post! What a "take off" in that last one.
Hi Kelly
Fantastic photos and I see the similarity but I doubt Billy can fly between shows with the same amount of grace.
Guy
Hah! Our "Billy Idol" bird is the Longtailed Duck.
...thanks, everyone! I think I stared at that photo off and on for months trying to figure out what to do with him. His expression and fluffed-up feathers made me smile every time I saw the photo. Leave it up to Rick to find the perfect caption for me!
I'm in the lobby of Hotel Lakeside right now.....birders are everywhere....it's fun....I've got to go!
I especially like that last photo. I'll have to get to know Mr. Idol . . . someday.
Funny! Aside from looking like Billy, I had no idea a Cattle Egret could look so awesome! Wow!
