Not beloved by many...but a female Cowbird in the snow is not without her charms!

A female Cowbird in the snow looks pretty as she sits on her rusty iron perch.

The third one made me laugh, Kelly. She looks disgusted --and is probably telling you to quit taking her picture and give her a portable heater.... ha ha

I like to sequence these shots and watch them in a slide show, it animates their looks and behaviors. She looks well fed from your feeder.

Great photos. You've made a plain creature look wonderful.

Great pictures and I agree with Betsy -- that 3rd picture she does look all "Alright already! Haven't you ever seen a bird before?"

I'm doing some catch-up work. My, you've been doing some fancy shooting over the last few days.

Sheesh!!! Even the lowly cowbird has been made to look regal, and each teeny feather a charm! You create magic with that camera m'dear! Well done!

She's just a regular gal that you've made look very charming! She does wear her breakfast well.

I just loved the third photo-what an expression! I think you could show the beauty in ANY bird. Well, maybe not buzzards.....NO beauty there!

Thats how our birds will look if the weather turns like the forecasters say - poor old birds, keep them fed !

Hi Kelly...You did a great job with misses Cowbird...you glamed her right up and made her beautiful!! : }
Very nice...the third one is a hoot!!

I love how you caught her all plumped out - beautiful close ups! I want to pet her belly! (And then tell her to leave our kirtland warbler's nests alone!)

Wow...neat pictures. It really shows how beautifuly the colors in her feathers are blended. I love seeing pictures like that where you can see the details of each feather.

And you are right, I hardly ever take picturs of them....must be something about their attitude or lifestyle.

I agree, I mean, who can capture pictures of a cowbird like this. Holy smokes they are beautiful!

Oh my - I love the face on shot Kelly! ♥ She looks so sweet and innocent (although we all know better come spring time).

Thank you, everyone! This summer our little Cardinal couple raised a cowbird...maybe this one's kid! The cardinals worked so hard feeding him. But...she's just doing what she's programmed to do...and she's beautiful in the snow.

Definitely a LOL bird Kelly - those images made my day. She seems to be saying "How can you dislike me?"

Excellent shots of the Cowbird Kelly. I must say, that third, straight on shot, is wonderful. I really like the "fluffed up" look of the birds in the winter cold. We get great looks at their feathers.
