Rick was looking out the kitchen window when a young Cooper’s Hawk decided to perch on the hockey net at the end of the driveway. He appears to be assessing the situation and studying all the strewn hockey gear.
Hmmm…sticks and pucks. What good are those--
I can’t eat them! This net, however, is a nice perch.
…very nice, indeed--eye level with a feeder
full of American Tree Sparrows!
Rick then snuck out the back door and around the corner to get a better shot, but as soon as the Cooper caught sight of him, he took off, which
…bonus!...turned into a really cool flight photo.
Goalie, huh? I dunno, I'd figure a Cooper's would be more likely to play forward. And that's a nice flight shot!
ReplyDeleteGreat shots, especially the one in flight, well done Rick!
ReplyDeletePaul.
