"Where did you get the photos of Billy Idol?"

...is what Rick said when he came into my office and saw this puffed-up Cattle Egret on my screen...


"Pinckney," I responded casually. "He was great. Very polite...put on a fab show."


I've heard of dogs looking like their owners, but never birds looking like celebs...

    Huh! The eyes are similar, too. I'm not a big Billy Idol fan, though.

    Oh, la, la! Dancing and strutting his stuff! Fantastic shots. Can't say I know much about Billy's music but upon looking him up on google... I think he researched cattle egrets :)

    Too cool! I love the first photo and gotta say I like the Pinckney Billy Idol best. The photos of the turtles in the last post are fantastic too. You are quickly becoming a turtle photographer extraordinaire, to go along with bird photographer extraordinaire.

    ...thanks, everyone! I think I stared at that photo off and on for months trying to figure out what to do with him. His expression and fluffed-up feathers made me smile every time I saw the photo. Leave it up to Rick to find the perfect caption for me!

    I'm in the lobby of Hotel Lakeside right now.....birders are everywhere....it's fun....I've got to go!
