...is just getting too cute for his own good!
This morning while nosing around in the fresh snow, Squirrel Nutkin found a stash of peanuts, sunflower seeds, and dried fruit. He would push his little head around in the snow and come up a few seconds later with a seed and a snowflake face.
Squirrel Nutkin using his head as a snowplow...
...ratcheting up the cuteness ratio...exponentially...
(I love how his little paws form a heart.)
Okay that is really way to cute. LOL looks like he is laughing at you.
ReplyDeleteVery cute indeed!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! Thank you for the morning smile!
ReplyDeleteGreat snaps again Kelly! that cute lil fellow is too good...!
ReplyDeleteKelly, I have always thought squirrels were too cute! I know they are frustrating because they are determined to eat all the bird food we put out, but the way they hop around from branch to branch, check us out when we are checking them out and that cute little sound they make - I dunno - pretty fascinating!
ReplyDeleteThey do form a heart! I've never noticed that before...thank you Kelly!
ReplyDeleteMade me smile Kelly. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a doll! You just have to fall in love with that face!
ReplyDeleteAnd I didn't notice the heart hands either! Sweet!
I love watching the squirrels dig in the snow . You do have a cutie there Kelly. Today it's so cold and I feel bad for all the critters. Only two squirrels braved the weather to come down this morning. The wind gusts are bad. I'm not going out!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
Wow,great images Kelly,very cute.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, may great things come your way in 2010.
John.
Awesome series of photos Kelly!
ReplyDeleteThe critters really struggle when there's snow everywhere, don't they??? They'd probably do most anything to get something to eat... Cute pictures!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
What would we do if we didn't have those good ole back yard critters to watch during the winter. Some times I take them for granted :( as I am always looking for that one different animal or bird..but such loyalty they show..always there in the morning to greet and wait quietly until we put out those treats!
ReplyDeleteVery cute post!!
I have to admit that I have a love/hate relationship with the squirrels - my seed bill would probably be significantly lower without the squirrels stuffing their cheeks - but they can be cute, and you photos capture that! Thanks for all your kind comments on my blog - happy new year!
ReplyDeleteThe cute little red squirrels are my favourite and we have a few as well...but we also have 5 big black squirrels in our side porch I'd be happy to send to you!! Have a great New Year Kelly!
ReplyDeleteCuteness.
ReplyDeleteOH MY Gosh STOP IT with the cute squirrel pics--I CAN'T TAKE IT! I am supposed to hate the little buggars for destroying my most favorite cardinal feeder!! But I want to pinch this one's little cheeks and play dress up with him!
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute!! I love his little paws too and they do look like a heart. Very sweet. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteHey,
ReplyDeleteWhat a delight to find your artsy banner and to see more of your art. I seem to have squirrels all over the place this year. Frequent visits! Nice images.
Awwww, he's gorgeous.
ReplyDeletevery, very cute! We seem to have lost our squirrel ... nary a sign since late fall.
ReplyDeleteLike the heart ... he says, you're all heart Kelly for leaving out these goodies for lil' ol' me
Squirrels are just so much fun to watch. Cute photos.
ReplyDeleteEven when they rob the feeders, its hard to be mad at them! Such a cutie you have there. Your new header is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSo sweet it makes my teeth hurt!!
ReplyDeleteLove those whiskers too!
Alright, now you're killing ME with the adorable squirrel photos. Poor little snowy-faced Mr. Nutkin! Guess a squirrel's gotta eat, though - why let a little snow stand in the way of a meal?!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and photographs. I just began photographing birds when I purchased my new camera, Nikon D5000. Thanks for sharing you knowledge and talent. I read a few of your post but have to come back when I have more time.
