Mrs. Red had an erie resemblance to the Heat Miser this morning out on our deck, seemingly having styled her crest after that fiery little guy's hair-do (she also looks perturbed with the current weather conditions)...
Why Mrs. Red--your crest appears to be aflame!
Hmmmm... Mr. Heat Miser seems to have a few more flames on his head than Mrs. Red. She must be an apprentice.
ReplyDeleteNice shot!
Great image of Mrs Red Kelly, was this the result of an electric shock.{:)
ReplyDelete...I laughed out loud when I saw that face through the camera's view finder. I hoped I caught it. Even her eyebrows seem aflame!
ReplyDeletesuch a lovely wee bird and your blog header is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLove the cardinal and I can see the resemblance. Of course Mrs. Red is much more beautiful.
ReplyDeleteKelly may I have a couple copies of Mr. and Mrs. Red to print and frame for my gramma's birthday in March? She LOVES the little guys and your pictures are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are just too beautiful! Wish I could get shots that close:) I love my squirrels but I am sick of them destroying my feeders. My mom bought me a Yankee Flipper for Christmas. We'll see if it turns them into flying squirrels!
ReplyDeleteI just got the biggest kick out of her eyebrows! What a hoot! I had no idea birds had eyebrows - let alone ones all aglow!!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, we could use a little heat.
ReplyDeleteMrs. Red is a perfect looking red head!
ReplyDeleteNow there's a blast from the past! Whew! "I'm Mr. Heat Miser, I'm Mr. Sun..." Every so often I've gotten that song in my head over the years but I couldn't remember what Christmas special it was from. Now I know!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great picture.
She looks like she got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Good shot!
ReplyDeletePoor thing... Mrs. Cardinal is just sick-and-tired of the snow and cold weather... You can tell that by the expression on her face... What a cute picture... (Bet she didn't want her picture taken either!!!! ha)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Hugs,
Betsy
