I'm sure you can tell from the photos I fell in love with this bird. He was always in the same isolated part of the beach foraging. I have tons of photos of him. When I took this set, I had sat down and was watching Sanderlings down the beach chasing the waves. This Willet came to me and snuggled down. I then laid down so I was on his level and focused in. I slowly inched forward, and he didn't care. I was probably within 5 feet. The sun was so warm...and he was so sleepy. Eventually he tucked his head in his feathers and went to sleep. I got up and left then. This session lasted over 14 minutes. I talked to him too...Florida birds are amazing. They are so brave and friendly.
That last picture just says it all. LOVE it... All of the photos are good... Love the Florida birds also.
