Beauty and the bee...

I was photographing this thistle when a bee flew in, landing in just the right place for a photo!

    I love this shot, Kelly! It's absolutely gorgeous. I think you do very well without that macro lens you are dreaming about. BTW, I left a comment for you on my Crane flight post regarding their migration.

    I love photography when it is that simple... You are preparing yourself for a shot and then something unexpected happens, like this bee landing on your flower... Superb shot!

    Beautiful! I love seeing the delicate design of the bee's wings. They are usually fluttering so fast you miss seeing them.
