Birding Hocking Hills in Southeastern Ohio
Again, the Creekside Meadows Trail led me to another beautiful sight. Apparently, acres and acres of grass and wildflowers will do that."Just living is not enough," said the butterfly, "one
must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower."

Wow Kelly, those are some of the best Butterfly photo's I have seen this year!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job!

Ditto! Perfect photos - and great name for a little fluttery thing
ReplyDeleteGreat shots—especially that first one!

Very nice kelly, very very nice!
ReplyDeleteThat is a stunner Kelly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful markings.
Careful now, or you're gonna get a bug lovin' reputation! ;•}
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwesome, girlfriend, awesome!

ReplyDeleteHave a great evening.

Super pics Kelly of a beautiful Fritillary. FAB
ReplyDeleteYour butterfly photos are so great. I'm having such trouble getting a crisp photo--probably need to fix the shutter speed a bit. So glad you are seeing more of them, too. I was beginning to think the whole summer would pass up here without their colorful fluttering.
ReplyDeleteNice shots, but what a mouthful! Between the butterfly and bee balm that is quite a tongue twister.
ReplyDeleteI like the side views you took of that beauty.I need to think more outside the box when taking photos. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos Kelly! just lovely!
ReplyDeleteAmazing pictures. I just love the colors

Magnificent and captivating! I love the first and second shots, with that greenish coloring showing on the underside of the wings.
ReplyDeleteVery lovely!!
ReplyDeleteAs always, I come to your blog in anticipation of the nature treats you have found for us each day and today is a goodie. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYeah! Butterflies From Behind! The idea will take over the world!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful macro shots.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous shots!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! Great captures!
ReplyDeleteWow Kelly these are amazing captures. Love the contrast between the yellow and green background. Anna :)
ReplyDeleteSuperb! I especially like the perspectives you chose to capture the overall butterfly and not just the wings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunlit butterfly! Definitely have to visit this park! Bergamot...is that the stuff in Earl Gray tea?
ReplyDeleteWow, what a gorgeous butterfly and superb captures. It's neat to see the butterflies that we don't get down here in Texas. Thanks for the great post!
ReplyDeleteThanks, everyone. It's fun to play with the camera and catch different poses (easier to do with a butterfly than a bird).
ReplyDeleteMary asked if the flower was the same kind used in Earl Grey tea...yes, it is! I was going to put that in the post too, but I forgot! :-)
