A purple so vivid...

Our little clump of purple burst open this week. Much anticipated, it grows at the bottom of the driveway near the street. Its vibrant color is so cheerful and happy, a color I had forgotten existed....

Crocuses bloom in the front yard. Goodbye Winter!

Long live the beautiful bright vivid reviving happy
purply purple crocuses of spring!

(Goodbye, winter!)

  2. That can only be described as "achingly beautiful". Wow--what a sight for winter weary eyes. Though my world up here is still white and gray, this brings hope that soon we will be enjoying color as well.
    Happy Spring, Kelly!

  14. ...thanks, everyone! It's amazing how strong the impact of the first vibrant color of spring can have. After being deprived of color--seeing only gray, white and half-light on many days gets old. Thank goodness spring is here!
