Blue skies in January...

...yeah!

...a happy little Carolina Chickadee singing and foraging along the Little Miami River.

...the blue backdrop is welcome. So often it's gray this time of year!

  1. It's been crazy warm here in Utah - but the blue skies come and go depending on if smog and clouds are trapped in the valley by the mountains.

  2. Very nice! I always love the sweet little Chickadees.

Blue skies in January here usually mean cold temps. Today is a gray day and we're above zero for the first time in several weeks. Unfortunately it's only supposed to last today and tomorrow, and then back to 20 below and colder.

  7. Nice captures, Kelly! They're such a cheerful little bird. It finally snowed here today - about an inch I think.

  8. I'll second that, though I think I hear the big grey foot about to fall. I like your Tree Swallows--just learned them last fall.

  15. ...thanks, everyone. This Carolina Chickadee is probably my favorite bird simply because of its call. It makes me so happy just to hear it. I've always been in love with that song.... Sounds like we all agree...this guy is cute!
